Peace--- The Only way out

The students were recently shown a touching music video about the 9/11 disaster to truly understand the meaning of sympathy and understand how it is different from empathy. The beautiful song elevated the sense of brotherhood amongst students. The students voiced their opinion/feelings with an open heart much to the surprise of their facilitators……

As we came to know that we have to go the IT room, various thought came in our mind as to why we were going there. But once we were in IT room, it was a twist. Ma’am suddenly showed us a video of "He aint heavy he is my brother" . But the video shown to us made us feel really very emphatic for those who suffered from the attack. We saw that during the 9/11 attack family members and non-family members were helping each other. Fire fighters played the most important role. They did not care for their own lives, instead they thought of the people who were in need. At that point of time religion, caste, race etc did not have any effect on the minds of the fire fighters. This is a perfect example of empathy and also the fact that brotherhood is not yet extinct. As spoken in the first line of the poem, "he aint heavy, he is my brother, means that the people were not a burden for anyone at that time. During the attack people were in grief and tears were rolling down from their eyes. The crash of 9/11 attack just took a second but the impact was just unimaginable

Humans have always shown a feeling of sympathy whenever a disaster or a sad thing happens. The event of 9/11 attack took away lives of thousands of people with it. The sufferings were sympathised by many people, but it was the firefighters, the rescue operation workers and the volunteers helping in the rescue work who showed empathy not sympathy. They were helping selflessly and they did not care who they were helping. They just helped anybody who was in need. The line of the song, "he aint heavy he is my brother" correctly expresses the feeling of the people who were working tirelessly in the rescue operations.

Determination replacing disillusion

"Give me some Sun shine.....give me some Rain....give me another chance...i wanna grow up once again...."

No No No No No!!!!! I don't want to sing this song after ten years from now. Yes, indeed, the song is nice...but it has a strong essence of defeat....the defeat of a system in raising its most prized posession--- The People!!
I don't want to exist---- I want to live instead. And i have this strong desire of doing something to improve this system. Ultimately we all are human beings....and human beings are full of weaknesses. I don't know how i'll do it...but i really want to contribute to give a value contribution. I don't want student 30 years from now to continue singing this song---thereby continue reflecting the defeat of our system...

Commonwealth games

• I hope that it gets complete because all the slums are destroyed and a fact that India always works at the last moment might turn against us this year. But, I think that the hotel rooms won’t be enough for the athletes and other players. Atleast this time India should win minimum 10 medals because the games being held in India and we will scare all other countries.

–Kunal Max VIIB

• I think that it will all be completed but the quality of the hotel rooms will be very poor and pathetic.

-Yash Max VIIB

• I don’t think that the rooms for the athletes will be completed and the athletes would have to be shifted to the best of Diili’s (DELHI”S) hotels. End moment solution !!!

-Pranav BHasin

• I hope this time the govt. will take quick and serious actions and terrorist won’t spoil things !!

-Apeksha

• Well, I hope it is complete and this is a sincere hope but still it is doubtful that it will be a grand success like other International event hosted in some other country. Truly to say it could be a flop movie with lot of promotion actually bad promotion !!

Victory @Playons'2009

So now it’s a common knowledge that the recent concluded ‘Playons’ was a runaway hit amongst everybody who was connected to the Maxfort School, Dwarka. We are proud….we are happy….and we are determined more then ever. We are proud because of our achievement which is of course a collective effort of our staff members, students and our lovely parents who have placed their unconditional trust in our institution. We are happy because the after effect of this painstaking event has resulted in joyfully brimming faces of parents, students and of our facilitators. Finally, we are determined, to hold an even bigger and better event this coming year.
Our idea is not only to hold a big event…an event which would have the finest of performances while involving the best of technology, that is just a small fraction of our endevour behind organizing such an event annually. What we intend to achieve is actually the value that we earnestly seek to extract out of these events.
Events of such kind involve facilitators and students primarily. And both these entities try to take out the best from their minds to give their best on the final day. Looking at it at the macro level, well, the performances depict some story in the form of a ballet…or may be some song or dance. Children perform while trying to challenge their inhibitions of facing the public which is actually the worst fear that one may have. Facilitators on their part stretch their schedules (at school and at home as well) and explore their grey matter. The intent is the same… to challenge themselves to give something extra, to create an achievement and finally, to add value to their existence. Events of such kinds always help us in polishing our skills and strengthening our weak areas.
Current ‘Playons’ was again a victory of our commitment; the commitment that ‘Come what may, but we’ll forever continue to excel in life and try to become fine human beings’….. We pay our utmost gratitude to each and everyone who was (in some way or the other) a part of our collective endevour, ‘The Playons’.

Aamir's best till date

I can say that this is easily the best aamir khan movie and this says a lot about this movie. When i saw the movie the only thing i could think of was that when can i get the chance to see this movie again and again and again.

meaningful entertaining cinema

i felt that 3 idiots was just an amazing movie ..... and i felt that it is a reality that the burden and stress children in India get from their parents and teachers is very harsh……………but the speech that ‘silencer’ gave was just amazing ..and the ragging part was just awesome...but the thing i felt bad about was the part related to the character ‘Joy’…….he should have got at least one chance to show his talent. And the most important thing that i learnt and want others to understand is that we all should not give up so soon...and should be determined to achieve our goals in life.....-- Diksha Chauhan Max VIII

High Moral

It was a moral giving and a funny movie to watch and gave us a learning of
